Pre-and-post New Year parties, it's actually hard to switch back to blogging life. But after an almost 18-hour nap (hehe), Roma is back to business!

So, today we're going to review the essence and cream from Laneige Water Bank line. The two products were kindly given to me by Sakurablossom Shop, my most favorite onlineshop. Keep in mind, though, whilst being sponsored, this review is real and honest. (When I say the product is no good or too pricey, I'll say so; just like my review from here and here). Also remember that what works on my skin might differ from yours. *mine is sensitive and oily-combination by the way!*




Anyway, I've tried the products day and night for a week or so without applying any other skin moisturizers. Did they work? Let's find out!





The travel set comes in a package of 15 ML (for water bank essence) and 10 ML (for water bank cream). Since they're about the size of a palm, they fit into my bag just fine. I think they work perfect for a mobile person like me. My skincare routine might be different from anyone; I only do simple cleansing and moisturizing in the morning and at night. To make it up, I add an extra treatment during my break-time at work. And I could say, these two come in handy!

Laneige Water Bank Essence

This product is used to prepare the skin before moisturizer. Usually I apply the essence when my skin is damp to--yes, I'll never get tired writing this--enhance the absorption of the cream.

The package comes with a pump, which makes the dispensing process easier. The fragrance is sweet and very, very light; I couldn't even smell it unless I bring the essence closer to my nose.

A pump or two is enough for my whole face, and I'm pleased to find that the essence has quite a runny texture, thus easily got spread and absorbed by the skin. I usually wait for 30 seconds to 1 minute after the application before I proceed on using the cream.

PS. I've also tried using this essence solo and, believe it or not, the essence alone can make my skin hydrated for the rest of the day!

Laneige Water Bank Cream

The package comes in a tube with a rotating cap; and I reckon it'll make anyone frustrated if the cream almost finished and they have to dispense out the rest of it. And since the packaging is a lot like a toothpaste tube, it's harder to control the extraction amount of the cream.

But, yeah. I only need a pea-sized cream for my face. Fun part of putting the cream on face still rich in essence? The skin is still slippery thus spreading the teeny tiny amount of cream easier.

If the essence has a light scent, then the scent o this cream is even lighter. The texture is thicker; but not that thick that makes my skin all greasy. As I apply this onto my skin, I could feel my face moist, supple and smooth. It doesn't make my skin dry nor oily, just enough moisturization all day long.

Laneige Water Bank Powerrrrrr

(Pardon the title) I like this product! I've been meaning to try Laneige products for oh so long, was happy when I was endorsed with them, and was even happier to learn that they work just like many have said!

I've also tried using this travel kit in indoor, cool AC temperature surrounding -- to outdoor, humid and hot weather. When the temperature is cool and dry, my skin doesn't feel tight and dry out. During the hot, sunny weather, sure, I sweat, my face sweats, but instead of having that shiny oily skin, my skin just produces moderate amount of sebum which can be easily blotted out with blotting paper.

CONCLUSION

• great hydration and moisturization power
• works with oily-combination and oily skin types
  (but that's because I don't know if it works with people with dry skin.
  But somehow I have a hunch this works with all-skin-types; just like the products claim)
• easy spread and quick absorption
• works both in cool and hot and humid weather
• very light fragrance, safe for people with sensitive skin

REPURCHASE?

After I fixed these hideous acne-scars, I would. But right now I just want to focus on brightening up my face.

FINAL NOTE

I deem this combo worthy; they do hydrate and moisturize the skin properly. Laneige Water Bank line promises that their products "provide good moisturization in almost no time that lasts throughout the day", and what do you know? They do deliver!
