REVIEW: Skinfood Cucumber Mask (Wash-Off)

My very first review! *pop fingers and neck*

I was actually spending all day yesterday pondering which of my skincare products to review first. But then as I rubbed my cheek, I just realized how sore it was! Truth is, I've been battling my acne with 0.025% Retinoic Acid  cream, Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask, Baviphat Strawberry Toxifying Mask, and Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask! Can you imagine? All of which are clay masks! And clay mask really sucks out the skin dry if we were to use it way too often/too long.

so here I am with sore and dry cheeks

ew ew ew ew

Thus why I decided to write a review of  my most favorite mask from skinfood--Cucumber Mask!

claims to provide excellent moisturization and soothing effects

I'm actually already on the second jar, so that means it DOES a wonder. But how good is it, really? Let's start shall we?

 the list of ingredients~

If you bother to read lengthy and complete explanation about the ingredients, go HERE. But to make it short, TSF Cucumber Mask is safe to use, and passed FDA standard.

Now! After we know that it's safe to use, let's see the inside~

jelly in a not-so-annoying way

I use plastic spoon to scoop the mask. Let's make it hygienic!

 How it looks on hand.

 TA-DAH!

I'm a beautiful princess

Lol, actually, we only need 10-15 minutes to use this wash-off mask. But for some *magical* reason, my skin needs super-long time to absorb and get all the nutrients and benefits from any mask product. I actually use this mask as sleeping mask, too, even though people keep nagging me not to do that as it can clog pores lol.

Scent: 4.5/5

It has faint cucumber scent; Fresh and subtle, not at all annoying.

Hygiene: 2/5

It's got extra lid but no spoon to scoop with. Please use alternative tool upon using.

Packaging: 3/5

Nothing special.

Texture: 4/5

Jelly-ish, a bit sticky, and has bits of granule-like feel.

Effectiveness: 4.5/5

It hydrates, moisturizes, quenches the thirsty skin fairly well!

Overall: 4.5/5

Recommended! It's cheap and it works!

NOTE:
  • Best put in fridge and used cold in hot weather.
  • Wash off with warm water to get more effectiveness.
